BlueFin Aquatics Swim Team’s Senior Group is for swimmers between the ages of 13-18 who are able to commit to aggressively training towards the “next level” in their swimming development. The emphasis is on progressively raising the individual swimmer’s training level to meet their swim career goals and objectives. Training includes dryland, video review, and in-water swim sessions.
BlueFin Aquatics JO Group is aimed at swimmers typically ages 11 and up who have proven that they are capable of attending practice regularly, and in those practices have demonstrated mentally, physically and from a maturity standpoint that they are ready to commence their journey of learning how to train on a daily basis. Competing in local and regional swim meets in an effort to pursue “next level goals” is a part of this learning process.
BlueFin Aquatics Swim Team’s Discovery Group is for children typically ages 8 and up who know how to swim, but would like to get involved in competitive swimming. We introduce and refine the technique of the 4 strokes, underwaters, racing starts and turns, and prepare the individual for local swim meets that occur quarterly.
For private lessons or interest in “learn to swim” programs , we have partnered with multiple providers in the valley. Contact us for further information and we can refer you to a program near you.
BlueFin Aquatics Swim Team is focused on supporting young swimmers seeking to maximize their competitive swimming potential. Our experienced staff, enthusiastic and involved parents, and energetic swimmers combine to create a fun, challenging team environment with activities in and out of the pool designed to teach our children about the value of hard work, accountability and self-discipline. Supported by our partners, the City of Henderson, Adelson Aquatics Center, and Henderson International School, we train and develop every level of swimmer from beginners to Olympic Trials qualifiers swimming at 25 yard and 50 meter pools. BlueFin swimmers compete on a local, regional, national, and international basis year-round. BlueFin Aquatics is ranked in the top 30 among the highly competitive Southern California region.
BlueFin Aquatics recognizes that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to developing athletes physically, mentally and socially. We also believe in the words of Michael Phelps who said:
“I wouldn’t say anything is impossible. I think that everything is possible as long as you put your mind to it and put the work and time into it”.
